What do volunteers do?
Volunteers help keep their adopted block clean by removing litter, reporting graffiti, abandoned items, and varying blight issues.
Who can adopt?
Licensed and operating businesses and non profits located in any of the five DFW counties (Collin, Dallas, Denton, Rockwall, and Tarrant County).
How often do volunteers clean up?
At a minimum, partners are required to clean their block quarterly, or four times during the twelve month grant period. Depending on the severity of the block location, more frequent cleaning is encouraged to keep our streets clean and beautiful. After every cleanup that a group performs, an impact report must be submitted.
How long is the adoption period?
We ask volunteers/adopters to commit to one year duration, with the ability to renew.
Who provides the clean up supplies?
After completing our inquiry form and grant agreement, Adopt a Block will provide you the funds necessary to purchase supplies.
